Carmen Copper Corporation has officially launched the Philippines’ first operating megawatt-scale floating solar power facility, located on the Malubog Reservoir within its mine site in Toledo City, Cebu. The 3-hectare facility has 8,540 floating solar panels capable of generating up to 4.99 megawatts (MW) of clean energy.

HSEC and city officials led the formal commissioning of the 25-megawatt (MW) solar power plant, which is the first in the city and considered as among the biggest in Mindanao, in its 56-hectare site in Purok Changco, Barangay Bawing.
